Who We Are

Le Langhe is an artisan food shop, cafe and restaurant in York.

We take our name- and inspiration- from the beautiful Langhe hills in the Piedmont region of Italy, home of Slow Food, an area renowned for its unique and special food ingredients. Le Langhe was set up in 2002 by Langhe-born Otto, and Heidi from Yorkshire, to provide a truly authentic taste of small-scale artisan foods from Italy’s regions. We started off with small premises right by the York Minster, but as Le Langhe has grown in popularity, we have moved twice since to larger premises to meet the demand for our hand-picked Italian regional ingredients and our home-cooked, hand-made seasonal food.
